TermIQ Privacy Policy
Effective July 2026. TermIQ is operated by Termiq Software, LLC, 7364 E Villanueva Dr, Orange, CA 92867 ("TermIQ", "we"). This policy explains what TermIQ collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to termiq.app and the TermIQ applications.
1. The short version
TermIQ collects the minimum needed to run a licensed product: your email address, license key, session status, billing handled by Stripe, and — for licensed seats — the quotes you choose to save. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, we run no third-party analytics or ad trackers, and we never see your card number.
2. Information we collect
Account and licensing. Your email address, license key, plan, session identifiers, an optional device label, and timestamps — used to operate sign-in and single-seat enforcement.
Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. TermIQ stores only Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers, never card numbers or bank details.
Saved quotes and structures. Quote calculations run in your browser. When a licensed seat saves a quote or structure, that saved item — including any customer name and deal terms you entered — syncs to TermIQ's cloud storage so it is available across your devices, or across your team if your seat belongs to one. Recent prior versions of an updated quote are retained. Demo sessions never sync anything. You can delete saved quotes at any time from the Saved tab, which removes them from cloud storage.
Team accounts. For team seats, we store the team's seat list (emails, roles, license status), branding, rate cards and funding programs, an administrative audit log (seat and settings changes, quote saves and deletions, with the acting user's email), and monthly per-seat usage counts (number of sessions, saves, exports, printed proposals — counts only, never deal contents). Team administrators can see this information for their team.
Stored on your device only. Unsaved work, letterhead branding you upload on a solo seat, deal templates, imported rate cards, and interface preferences live in your browser's local storage and are not transmitted, except as described above when you save a quote.
Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) processes IP addresses and request logs as part of serving the site, as any web host does.
Trial and demo contacts. When you request a trial or a demo link we store your email address and, where provided, your name and company, to deliver access and to send occasional TermIQ marketing email. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe; opting out is permanent and does not affect transactional email (license keys, sign-in links). We may load these contacts (email, name, company) into the customer-relationship and outreach tools we use to manage sales; those tools process this data on our behalf and are contractually limited to using it for TermIQ outreach.
Referral program data. For referral-program participants we store your code, name, email, payout preference, and commission records.
3. How we use information
To provide and secure the product (licensing, session enforcement, sync), to bill subscriptions, to support you when you contact us, to show team administrators their own team's activity, and to understand aggregate usage of features. We do not use your information for advertising and we do not train models on your data.
4. Customer information you enter
Deal inputs may include your customers' business names and transaction details. You are responsible for having the right to use that information and for your own obligations to your customers and your institution. TermIQ processes it solely to provide the service to you and does not use it for any other purpose.
5. Sharing
We share information only with the service providers that run TermIQ — Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional and marketing email delivery — processes recipient email addresses and message content), Netlify (hosting and data storage), and Google Fonts (font delivery, which sees standard web-request data) — and when required by law. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and there are no ad networks or third-party analytics in the product.
6. Retention and deletion
Account and licensing records are kept while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for billing and audit purposes. Saved quotes remain until you delete them or your account is deleted. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email sales@termiq.app from your account email; we will act on verified requests within 30 days, subject to records we must keep by law.
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sessions use signed tokens, licenses enforce a single active seat, and administrative functions require separate credentials. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at sales@termiq.app. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we honor access and deletion requests as described above without discrimination. If you are in a jurisdiction with additional rights, we will honor requests to the extent required by applicable law.
9. Children
TermIQ is a professional tool for business use and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the product evolves; material changes will be reflected by the effective date above. Questions: sales@termiq.app. See also the Terms of Service.
